Conference Papers
The ISD Conference warmly invites you to submit your work in one of the available paper categories. The submitted papers must present original work, not currently under review or published elsewhere (apart from the category of Journal-First papers), describing results that broadly belong to the conference topics. All the submissions will be checked on plagiarism and AI writing.
All submissions will undergo a standard double-blind review process, ensuring that reviewer identities are concealed from authors and vice versa. During the review process, all papers will be checked for plagiarism and self-plagiarism. Submissions must be technically formatted according to the provided templates for LaTeX, Microsoft Word, and PDF.
The best papers will be selected for further qualitative expansion and review in prestigious journals. Among them, Lecture Notes in Information Systems and Organization (LNISO) by Springer and Computer Science and Information Systems (ComSIS) will invite authors of top papers to submit extended versions of their work.
We’re excited to share the Call for Papers with you! Download it in PDF format here.
Research Papers
Research papers (Full or Short) refer to original, previously unpublished research work that has not been submitted elsewhere or is under peer review. Contributions must present tangible findings related to information systems development or align with the specific track of the Conference. Authors are expected to clearly identify the research gap, outline their methodology, and discuss the implications of their work. Please note that, based on reviewers’ feedback and Track Chairs’ recommendations, higher-tier papers may be accepted for publication in a lower-tier category (e.g., Short Papers or Posters).
Full research papers, in particular, should reflect the depth and rigor typical of journal articles, presented in a more concise format suitable for conference proceedings. Full papers, including all references and appendices, must not exceed a maximum length of 12 pages. Short papers, including all references and appendices, must not exceed a maximum length of 8 pages.
Regular papers will be assigned with a DOI number, published in the Proceedings of the Conference and included in the Conference repository “AIS eLibrary”.
Posters
Posters convey preliminary work that is not yet fully validated or showcase innovative tools or artifacts contributing to the advancement of research and practice. The authors of posters are expected to clearly communicate the path of further research activities and/or the use of showcased tools/artifacts in ISD practice to the audience.
Posters, including all references and appendices, must not exceed a maximum length of 4 pages.
Posters will be assigned with a DOI number, published in the Proceedings of the Conference and included in the Conference repository “AIS eLibrary”.
Journal-First Papers
We invite journal-first presentations for papers published recently in prestigious journals and in the scope of the different track of the conference. This will both enrich the ISD program as well as offer the authors an opportunity to speak to the community.
The journal papers should be accepted for publication not earlier than January 1st 2025 (with DOI).
The journal-first papers will not be reviewed again for technical content. The program chairs and track chairs will check the appropriateness of the proposal focusing on the scope, quality of the journal (e.g., impact factor, indexation) and date of acceptance for publication.
Journal-first papers are published through the journals and will not be part of the ISD Proceedings. The journal first-papers will be included in the conference program and in the ISD Book of Abstracts.
Such submissions will consist on providing the information of the journal paper (in the EasyChair system) including: the paper’s title, authors, journal name, editorial name, DOI and link to the paper, impact factor of the journal, indexation (JCR, SCI, SCIE, etc) including its category and position, and the abstract. Finally, the original journal paper should also be uploaded during submission.
