By air

The closest airport to the event venue is Vaclav Havel Airport Prague (identified by the IATA code PRG), located just 10 kilometers from downtown. Prague airport is an international air-hub that handles over 13 million passengers a year. They can choose from offers of 60 airlines connecting Prague directly to more than 150 destinations around the world.

There are several transport options available from the airport. We recommend using Public Transport to the city center or the Prague Congress Centre. The ticket fare is 32 CZK (1.2 EUR) and is valid for 90 minutes, including transfers between metro, trams, Prague public transport buses (lines No‘s 100 – 299 and 901 – 915), the Petřín funicular, public transport ferries, and selected railway line sections.

Bus stops are situated in front of the arrival hall of Terminals 1 and 2.

Bus 59: Prague Airport – Nadraží Veleslavín (metro line A) – 15 min – Recommended option for the city centre and Prague Congress Centre

By train

There is a very frequent, fast rail connection in Central Europe. Prague main station is located in the city center.

By Long-Distance Bus

Czechia has a well-established and efficient long-distance international and national bus service, providing extensive connectivity for travelers. Prague, the capital, serves as a central hub with frequent bus lines connecting to cities across Czechia, the Central Europe, and major European destinations. Notably, there are regular and frequent connections with countries such as Germany, Poland, Italy, Austria, Hungary, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Croatia.

Various bus companies, including FlixBus, operate regularly to and from Prague, contributing to the city’s robust transportation network.

Local Public Transport

Prague’s local transport system is efficiently managed by the local public transportation company, offering a network that includes metro (subway), trams, trolleybuses, and buses. Operating from 5:00 to 24:00h on day lines and with a night service from 24:00h to 5:00h, the public transport system ensures accessibility throughout the day. Day lines frequently run at intervals of 5 to 10 minutes, providing convenient and regular services. For the convenience of passengers, all transport lines are regularly registered on Google Maps, facilitating easy navigation.

A valuable app for navigating public transport is PID Lítačka. It offers tailored suggestions on routes and bus options to efficiently travel from one’s current location to a specific destination. Not limited to Prague, PID Lítačka covers the Central Bohemia Region.

Taxi

Prague offers various taxi services, providing convenient transportation options for residents and visitors alike. The most comfortable option is to use one of many taxi services mobile applications. Czech app “Liftago” connects several taxi providers in one application. Install and use it as it is safe and reliable.

In the city center taxis are easy to hail from the street, but we strongly recommend that you use hotel taxis or obtain taxis by phone through the radio taxi service e.g. AAA (+ 420 14 014), City Taxi (+420 257 257 257) or Speed Cars (+420 224 234 234).

Boarding charge: approximately 40 CZK.

Journeys within the city: approximately 28 CZK/ 1 kilometer. Do not board the taxi without finding out if there is a fixed rate.

Uber works properly in Prague, you can use your account to transfer to the congress venue or other places around Prague.
